How to measure a wheel for a protector

General information only. Not a promise that a protector fits, is safe, or is in stock. Prices and stock change.

This part is general knowledge, not a measurement SaveARim took from a listing. The inch size of a wheel is the diameter of the wheel itself. On the tire sidewall it is the last number in the size. A tire marked 245/40R20 is on a 20 inch wheel. That inch number is what you compare with a protector listing that states an inch size.

In this catalog, some listings state one size, including 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 24 inch. Others state a range, including 12–22 inch and 12–24 inch. A range is the span written on that listing. It is not the same as a single inch size, and it is not a promise that the piece fits every wheel inside the span.

Listings that use the word universal do not name one diameter. Read what a universal listing means and then confirm the size wording on Amazon.
