What is curb rash?

General information only. Not a promise that a protector fits, is safe, or is in stock. Prices and stock change.

Curb rash is the scuffed or scraped look on the outer lip of an alloy wheel after it meets a curb, a parking stop, or a tight turn.

In this catalog, many listings use that phrase. All-Fit Rim Trim is titled “Universal Curb Rash Wheel Protectors.” Other notes say “adhesive curb-rash strip/trim” or “Rim Curb Rash Protector.” Those are the words on the listing, not a test SaveARim ran.

A rim protector here is a strip or ring meant to sit on that outer lip. The shop groups them as adhesive strips, clip-in rings, and pro-fit bead inserts. Which one you are looking at is whatever that listing says.
