This part is general knowledge. Curb rash is a scrape on the outer lip of a wheel. Repair means work on a scrape that is already there, such as refinishing that lip. A rim protector is a separate piece meant to sit on the lip. Putting a protector on does not refinish metal that is already scraped.

This catalog lists rim protectors and curb-rash guards. It does not list a repair service, touch-up paint, or a refinishing kit. All-Fit Rim Trim is titled “Universal Curb Rash Wheel Protectors.” A DREAMOTOR title says “Rim Curb Rash Protector.” Those words name a guard in the listing, not a repair.
